One of the trailers before Watchmen was this new one for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It’s looking very action packed, and I have to admit, I’m getting pretty excited for this one. I’m not going to get into the Deadpool-has-no-scars-or-mask debate until I see it (let’s all calm down and remember he was a merc *before* he entered the Weapon X program and was horribly disfigured), but no matter what, I’m going to see it for the awesomesauce job on Gambit. The shots betwen 1:34 and 1:36 remind me of a mini-poster I used to have on my wall; Remy was definitely one of my childhood crushes.

That’s Weapon XI, according to Empire magazine… he’s supposed to have Wolverine’s healing power and Scott Summers’ optic blasts.
I’m not too upset about the change to Gambit’s eyes, although traditional black would have been cooler. I’m glad that they kept the pink and purple theme up, though; gotta love a man confident enough to have such a flamboyant colour scheme.
Also, I found a quote where IESB.net suggests that Deadpool will be CGI-scarred-up in the film:

I really hope that he has a couple of great scenes where he talks directly to the camera.
Either in this, or they can leave that for his stand alone… how can they not make a Deadpool feature? It has the potential to be amazing!
